“Change is the end result of all true learning.” – Leo Buscaglia As the Headmistress of the school, I feel honoured and privileged to be a part of an educational institution where every stakeholder is a learner and everyday is an opportunity to learn and discover. We look ourselves as the community of learners, where everyone learns including our teachers, parents and staff. In the words of Martin Luther King, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.” When you develop critical thinking, you no longer take things for granted. You start questioning why things are the way they are. You overcome the barriers of predicaments and seek answers. Dear Dipsites, I would like to remind you that the people of fine character live by their values. They are honest and are committed to truthfulness in thoughts, words and deeds. Never forget, character creates self-respect, which in turn leads to high self-esteem. Your maturity is reflected in all the aspects of your character – the decision you make, the friends you choose and the responsibilities you take. Always remember to uphold the dignity of the people. What you are is god’s gift to you. What you become is your gift to God. Have something to live for. Bring out the best in you.

"One of the greatest Arts of living is to learn the art of accurately appraising values."
Let us nurture impressive and holistic personalities by sowing the seeds of moral values and irrigating it with virtues of hard work, persistence and perseverance.
We as teachers and parents need to provide an education which fosters critical thinking and encourages the development of mature moral values among children. In the present scenario students move through a gruelling education system that goes on almost unendingly right from their kindergarten to their graduation with a constant barrage of information hurled at them, along with a bar to perform better than their peers set at a higher level. It has further dwindled their curiosity creativity and morals. This is where the importance of value education should be established in life.
It is important in our lives because it develops physical and emotional aspects, teaches mannerism and develops a sense of brotherhood, instills spirit of patriotism as well as develops religious tolerance in students. Life ethics skills such as honesty, helpfulness, integrity, hard work and compassion play an important role in preparing the foundation of a good character for a well-developed personality.
Time to inculcate intrinsic motivation which enables children to put in hard work to achieve their goals. There isn't any secret sauce, there are no shortcuts, no strategies, and no magic dust. There is and always be a single trait that trumps all - Hard Work.
Let's imbibe moral values among the learning community, let the spirits of children be ignited with a radiant brightness that helps them to transcend all adversities...
